More than 1,200 degrees to be awarded during spring commencement ceremonies in Troy, Dothan, Montgomery and Phenix City/Columbus

Troy University will award more than 1,200 diplomas in the coming days as the University hosts spring commencement ceremonies on its Troy, Dothan, Montgomery and Phenix City campuses.

More than 880 students representing 29 states and 13 countries are expected to participate in commencement exercises on the Troy Campus on Friday, May 8. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. in Trojan Arena. The ceremony will be streamed live at www.troy.edu/live and also will air live on TROY TrojanVision. Mac-Jane Chukwu, a graduate student in international relations with a focus in national security affairs from Lagos, Nigeria, will address her fellow graduates during Friday's ceremony. Chukwu is the author of "Open Secret" and "My Father's Girlfriend" and is executive vice president of the International Student Cultural Organization. She also has served as an officer of the Troy African Students Association and played an instrumental role in the University's International Women's Forum.
