Statement: Troy University storm damage

TROY – Troy University officials say there is NO DAMAGE on its Troy Campus as a result of storms MONDAY MORNING. All campuses are open and operating as scheduled.

The Montgomery Campus is open. Minor water damage has occurred in some buildings due to basement flooding. However, all Monday classes are operating as scheduled.

The Dothan Campus reports all clear and classes are meeting as scheduled.

The Phenix City Campus reports minor water in two administrative offices from Saturday. All Monday classes are meeting as scheduled.

On SATURDAY, the Troy Campus had a number of trees down as the result of Tropical Storm Fay.

  • One tree fell near the Lurleen B. Wallace Library
  • One tree fell across a driveway of a fraternity house on Pell Avenue
  • One tree fell across University Avenue
  • One tree and one large limb fell on the Trojan Oaks Golf Course

No structural damage was reported from Saturday’s brush with TS Fay on any Troy University campus.
