DOTHAN – A performance by the Troy University Community Band of Dothan that was cancelled in April due to severe weather has been rescheduled for Monday, June 8.

The free concert will start at 6 p.m. in Sony Hall inside the Library Technology Building at TROY’s Dothan Campus.

The 45-minute performance will take listeners on a tour of American music, said band director Andy Fariss. The concert will highlight songs in a variety of classic American styles including Dixieland jazz, country, John Phillip Sousa marches and Broadway musicals.

“It will be a snapshot of various American musical themes,” Fariss said.

The concert was originally set to be part of the Dothan Campus Heritage Week celebration in April.
