TROY, Ala.—Troy University has announced the appointment of Bill Glisson as interim regional director of the University’s Southeast Region.
Mr. Glisson, who served in 2006 as interim regional director and was the Southeast Region’s Director of Operations, will assume his duties immediately, according to Dr. Earl Ingram, interim Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
“Bill Glisson brings a wealth of experience into the regional director’s office,” Dr. Ingram said. “We have full confidence that he can continue to foster the growth and service to our students in the Southeast Region.”
Mr. Glisson joined the University in 2005 and has worked in several different areas of the Southeast Region, most recently as associate director of operations. Prior to that, he served as site director for the Columbus/Fort Benning Site, TROY’s largest teaching location outside the state of Alabama, and was site director for the Atlanta Site. He began his stint with the Southeast Region as assistant to the regional director.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with additional course work in accounting and holds a master’s degree in personnel administration. He is currently pursuing a doctor of business administration degree in electronic commerce.
Prior to joining the University, he work for 16 years in human resources at a major manufacturing firm, was an educator and owned his own business. He is a Hamilton, Ga., native.
He fills the vacancy left by Dr. Dave White, who has assumed the helm at the Phenix City Campus as campus vice chancellor.
