Building dedication to honor Dr. Curtis Pitts

Tuesday, Sept. 14, 10 a.m. EST.:Troy University will formally rename the education building at the Phenix City Campus in honor of founding administrator Dr. Curtis Pitts during a ceremony on Tuesday, Sept. 14, at 10 a.m. EST in front of the building.

Dr. Pitts was the chief administrator of the Phenix Campus since its establishment in 1975. He passed away in March while recovering from injuries sustained in an automobile accident last year.

The TROY Board of Trustees voted earlier this summer to rename the current education building H. Curtis Pitts Hall in memory of Dr. Pitts’ years of service.
