Posted: Wednesday, 17 November 2010

MONTGOMERY—Troy University’s Rosa Parks Museum will host its first Holiday Open House on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will give visitors a chance to tour the museum and shop for unique Christmas gifts at the museum’s shop. During the open house the museum will offer a special selection of merchandise from nationally acclaimed painter Ted Ellis.

Other events during the open house will include a performance of holiday songs by the St. Jude Educational Institute Choir; a replica of a 1950s Montgomery Transit System bus, similar to the one on which Rosa Parks was arrested, which visitors can tour and a special art activity that families can enjoy together.
