Troy University SGA recognizes Dothan Campus teacher and student of the year

DOTHAN—Troy University's Student Government Association recently announced the winners of the 2010-2011 student and teacher of the year awards for the Dothan Campus

Education professor Rita Farver was named teacher of the year, and Megan Davidson won the student award. Both were selected by the SGA based on nominations made by Dothan Campus students. The awards recognize outstanding academic achievement and excellence in the classroom.

Farver, a professor in the early childhood education program, is a resident of Daleville and has taught at TROY since 1999. She holds a master's degree in early childhood/elementary education from Alabama A&M University.

Davidson, also from Daleville, is a freshman majoring in general business.
