Registration under way for auctioneering school at Troy University

DOTHAN—Registration is open now at Troy University for the Continuing Education Center's summer auctioneering school.

The school will be held July 22-31 at the Dothan Campus. The 85-hour program prepares students for a career as a licensed auctioneer. Upon graduation, students can test to become apprentice auctioneers.

The program is approved by Auctioneer Boards in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi and Tennessee and includes the study of law, ethics, types of auctions, set up sites, procedural operations, advertising, bid calling, furniture and antiques identification, clerking, cashiering and final settlement.
