TROY – Troy University and the John M. Long School of Music are pleased to announce a major fundraising initiative to become an All-Steinway School. University officials and faculty members within the School of Music plan to launch the fundraising campaign officially next month.
Since 1853, Steinway & Sons pianos have set an uncompromising standard for sound, touch, beauty, and investment value. To become an All-Steinway School, the pianos in an institution must be comprised of ninety percent Steinway and Steinway-designed instruments. The All-Steinway distinction is a mark of prestige held by few institutions. Troy University's decision to support the All-Steinway Initiative is an indication of its continuing commitment to academic excellence.
University officials will release further details concerning fundraising celebrations in the coming weeks.
