Troy University Gospel Singers to present Spring Concert Sunday

TROY, Ala. – The Troy University Gospel Singers will present their Spring Concert “Back to Eden” at 6 p.m. on March 22 in the Claudia Crosby Theater on the Troy Campus.

The free concert will feature a variety of sacred musical styles including traditional hymns, American spirituals and contemporary Christian. Selections performed will include “Everytime I feel the Spirit,” featuring Dr. Michael Hix, coordinator of choral music at TROY; “Souled Out” by Hezekiah Walker and Donald Lawrence’s hit “Back to Eden.”

The more than 80-member choir is under the direction of Lewis Webb, Jr.

“We invite everyone to come out and enjoy a variety of Gospel and contemporary Christian music, that will be pleasing to all age groups and any denominational preference,” Webb said. “The concert will feature music by local artists, as well as nationally known recording artists. It will be a night of good music with the focus on our message, ‘Back to Eden.’”
