TROY to offer seminar on ethics for counselors

DOTHAN—The Continuing Education Center at Troy University’s Dothan Campus will offer a two-part seminar in ethics for professional counselors starting in April.

Participants will receive an overview of the definition of ethics in the counseling profession and gain insight into the ethical codes of the various specialty areas of counseling. A sampling of ethical cases and their outcomes will be reviewed. The seminar is open to all counselors.

Part one will be offered in two sessions. The first session will be on April 6 and the second will be on April 20. Part two will be offered on May 4 and May 18. All sessions will be from 9 a.m. to noon and will be instructed by Dr. Virginia Mayer, Ed.D., LPC.
