TROY—Small businesses in the Wiregrass will have a chance to meet one-on-one with government agencies and contractors during the Troy University Small Business Development Center’s Matchmaker.
The 2010 Small Business Opportunities Conference and Matchmaker, scheduled for May 19 in the Trojan Center Ballrooms on the Troy Campus, will provide small businesses the chance to network and to meet representatives from various local, state and federal agencies and prime contractors, said Judy Callin, a SBDC small business development consultant.
A general session will begin at 8 a.m. and provide instructions for the day and a valuable business networking opportunity. Exhibitors that provide services to small businesses will be on hand during the day.
The matchmaker event allows small business owners and managers a chance to meet with the agencies and contractors from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Appointments must be scheduled prior to the event, Callin said. Businesses should email their appointment requests in priority order to email@example.com with the name of the representative and the business name, address email and phone number.
