College of Communication and Fine Arts names outstanding seniors

TROY-Troy University’s College of Communication and Fine Arts has recognized six of its students with the Outstanding Senior Award.

“These outstanding seniors are selected by each school or department because they reflect the ‘ideal TROY graduate’,” said Dean Maryjo Cochran. “They are evaluated on scholarship, leadership and participation in organizations within their disciplines.”

Students honored during a reception Monday for Dean’s List recipients are:
Allison Conlan, John M. Long School of Music, of Leesburg, Ga.;
Leach Collich, Hall School of Journalism and Communication, of Enterprise;
Caleb Osborne, Department of Modern Languages and Classics, of Springville;
Adrienne Hicks, Department of Theatre and Dance (dance), of Troy;
Doug Watkins, Department of Theatre and Dance (theatre), of Madison; and
Melissa Thompson, Department of Art and Design, of Enterprise.

The award has been presented since 2006.

In addition to the Outstanding Senior Awards, all students achieving the Dean’s List in the college were honored. Students with honors and high honors participated, and entertainment was provided by the student group “frequency,” music education major Robbie Clayson, Forensics Tournament champion Wes Jackson, theatre and dance student Jessica Threet and the Troy Repertory Dance Ensemble.
