TROY – Troy University Public Radio's annual "Fall Membership Campaign" will be held Oct. 14-21 and will feature the debut of two new programs in the station's weekday line-up, Marketplace Tech Report and Marketplace Index.
The campaign aims to recruit new member-supporters for the network and raise funds to pay for programming.
"Our Fall Membership Campaign is held to acquire new friends of Troy University Public Radio and acknowledge their tax-deductible financial support," said Buddy Johnson, director of Troy University's Broadcast and Digital Network. "As a non-commercial, non-profit entity Troy University Public Radio depends on contributions from our listeners, businesses and organizational friends to help meet the ever rising costs of programming."
Guests from within the local listening area will be on the air in the network's Troy and Montgomery studios during the campaign to voice their support for TROY Public Radio, Johnson said.
The campaign will also mark the debut of two new financial news programs on the network. Marketplace Tech Report will air weekdays at 6:35 a.m. and Marketplace Index will air at 4:45 p.m.
