Troy University to host seminar on suicide awareness, prevention

DOTHAN—Troy University will host a free seminar on suicide awareness and prevention on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the Dothan Campus.

Rose Blakey-Phillips, a licensed professional counselor and director of Wiregrass Suicide Prevention Services, will discuss the signs and symptoms of depression and warning signals of suicide, with a focus on dealing with depression during the holidays.

The seminar will be held in two one-hour sessions at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. inside the Sony Hall auditorium in the Library/Technology Building. Admission is free and open to the public.
