MONTGOMERY – Troy University's Rosa Parks Museum will receive a donation of more than 500 historic African American magazines dating in the 1950s and 1960s during a press conference at 9 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 29, in the museum's atrium on the University's Montgomery Campus.
Dr. Felicia Bell, director of the museum, will speak to media about the donation and plans for using the donated magazines as an outreach to city schools and the community as a resource for discussion of the Civil Rights Movement and how it was covered by the African American media.
