What is a Sponsored Program?
A sponsored program is any activity that receives funding from outside Troy University and requires a deliverable (any goods and services provided by the University) in exchange for funding.
A sponsored program always requires the University to provide something (time, expertise, tangible items) for funding.
- Gifts are handled by the Foundation.
- No exchange of goods and services is expected.
- Grants are received through a competitive process in which the agency provides funding for specific goods and services.
- Contracts can be received through both a competitive and non-competitive process in which the agency provides funding for specific goods and services.
