On April 5th, 2017 the 3rd Annual Troy University Student Appreciation Day will be held.  We are currently accepting entries for a scholarship through March 31, 2017. Please see Application Form below.

 

Winning entries will receive a $100.00 scholarship for Barnes and Noble. This prize will be delivered electronically, but can be redeemed at any physical Barnes and Noble site location. In addition, winning entries will also be given one year (1 year) privileges for free as a member of the Troy University Student Alumni Association.

Troy campus will celebrate Student Appreciation Day  on April 19th between 10:00 AM and 2:30 PM. We will have refreshments on the Quad with some give-a-ways during the day.

Trojan Café will be giving away TROY t-shirts, tumblers, and totes on April 19th.
We serve thousands of TROY Online students, however, we open all of our online activities to ALL students. We are asking students to enter the random drawings

Due to inclement weather, Dothan campus activities will be held on Thursday, April 6th. Pizza, drinks, and snacks will be served between 11:30 a.m - 1:00 p.m. and again from 4:15-5:15 p.m. Drawings will be held for give-a-ways and Sonic will provide drink tokens and coupons for students.

Altamonte springs/orlando

Light refreshments and beverages will be available to all enrolled in-class and online students in the Orlando area.  TROY give-a-ways also be handed out and we will hold a TROY T-shirt raffle at 6 PM. Announcements will be posted at the site and on our Facebook page.

All Panama City area students will be invited to join the faculty and staff at the Panama City Support Center for light refreshments throughout the day on April 5. There will be a drawing for a TROY bag filled with goodies.  Two winners will be selected – one in class and one online student will be chosen.  Membership information for the Panama City Area Chapter of Troy University Alumni and Friends will be available as well.   Announcements will be posted at the site and on our Facebook page.

pensacola

All Pensacola area students will be invited to join the faculty and staff for light refreshments throughout the day on April 5.  The celebration for this event will include a verbal word of appreciation along with the presentation of a University promotional gift bag for in-class and online students in the Pensacola area.  Announcements will be posted at the site and on our Facebook page.

san antonio

All online students in the San Antonio Area will be invited to come by the support center in the evening after work for a Student Appreciation Day Mixer. We will be giving away TROY swag, having cake and serving refreshments to the students. We will also ensure they are aware of the career services we offer after they complete their degrees and making sure, they are aware of all aspects of TROJAN Café and the services it offers. We will also promote our TROY Scholarships and encourage them to apply for them if they have not done so. Announcements will be posted at the site and on our Facebook page.

tampa

Any student enrolled in Troy University as of Term 3, 2017 either full or part-time, in good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher), may enter this scholarship contest.

Do I have to attend the Troy University main campus?

No, any student irrelevant of location is eligible to enter this contest.

What is the theme of the contest?

The theme is “Making a Difference” at Troy University. This motto is not limited to your particular area of study but it is encouraged one use their own career goals and current studying path as a way to show how he or she “Makes a Difference” at Troy University. The integration of this topic will be a key area the items will be judged upon.

How is the contest being judged?

A panel of administrators and faculty members will use a rubric and will judge your entry based on creativity, organization, style, and relatability to the theme. All requirements must be met for an entry to be judged.

What are the requirements for an essay?

The essay should be no longer than 500 words, Times New Roman, 12 point font, double spaced, and uploaded as a Word document. Upload the Word document to the form.

What are the requirements to submit a photo?

The photo should be submitted using .jpeg format with a high pixel resolution, and 25 megabytes or smaller. There will be section on the form where the photo can be directly uploaded. A caption can be added in the field below the photo upload on the form.

What will the winner receive as a prize?

Winning entries will receive a $100.00 scholarship for Barnes and Noble. This prize will be delivered by mail, and can be redeemed at any physical Barnes and Noble location or online. We will also ensure they are aware of the career services we offer after they complete their degrees and making sure, they are aware of all aspects of TROJAN Café and the services it offers. Light refreshments and beverages will be available to all enrolled in-class and online students in the Tampa area.  TROY give-a-ways also be handed out and we will hold a TROY T-shirt raffle at 6 PM.  Announcements will be posted at the site and on our Facebook page.

Light refreshments will be available for students who come to the Ed Center on base. In addition, we will have a drawing for a goodie basket filled with TROY items. Social media and email correspondence will be posted thanking our students for their hard work and dedication to TROY. Announcements will be posted at the site and on our Facebook page.
