Captain Jessie Charles June Mooney IV is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. He received his commission from Alabama A&M University as a Distinguished Military Graduate in May 2007. CPT Mooney’s hobbies include riding motorcycles, bowling, playing pool, poker, and spending time with his family. CPT Mooney is married to Marquita Mooney and they have three children, Malia (11), Jessie C.J. (5), and Olivia (2).

Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology from Alabama A&M University (2007)
Master of Science in Business Organization and Security Management from Webster University (2012)

His military education includes the Military Police Basic Officer Course, Captain’s Career Course, Company Commander and First Sergeant Course, Antiterrorism Officer Basic Course, Equal Opportunity Leaders Course, Airborne School, and Air Assault School.

Key assignments have included Executive Officer, Company B, 795th Military Police Battalion, Platoon Leader, West Point Military Police Company (Honor Guard), Operations Officer, West Point Provost Marshal Office, Administrative Officer, Commission Support Group Office of Military Commission, Joint Task Force Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Antiterrorism Force Protection Officer, United States Third Army Command (Forward), Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, Assistant S-3, Plans Officer, 716th Military Police Battalion, S-4, 502D Military Police Battalion (CID), Commander, 502D Military Police Battalion (CID). CPT Mooney is currently an Associate Professor of Military Science for the Army ROTC program at Troy University in Troy, Alabama.

Captain Mooney’s military awards and decorations include the Joint Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3 Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Metal, Army Service Ribbon, Army Superior Unit Award, Overseas Service Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Air Assault Badge, the Parachutist Badge, and the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (Gold).
