Little Dribblers Camp will be June 13-16 – Open to boys and girls age 4 – 12 years old. Campers will be instructed by Troy Women’s Basketball Coaches and Players. J-Day

J-Day High School Journalism Workshop

September 22, 2016

Each fall, Troy University’s Hall School of Journalism and Communication presents J-Day, a one-day camp that introduces high school students to different career options available within the fields of journalism and communication. J-Day’s purpose is to provide information about these fast-paced, ever-changing career fields in a fun atmosphere. J-Day allows students to participate in educational workshops, lectures and a student media competition. Lunch is provided to participants. This year’s J-Day will be held Sept. 22.

MIC Check - Music Industry Camp

June 16 - 18, 2016

M.I.C. Check is a summer music camp experience focused in the Music Industry. MIC Check offers focuses in performance, recoding, songwriting, engineering, and sound design. . Outside of their individual tracks, students will come together to learn about licensing, publishing, and other facets of the industry. POPulus will be doing a show Friday night and then its time for a dance party with Dino Brawl. At the end of the camp we will come together for our MIC Check Showcase! Students can stay in the dorms on campus for $200 or they can commute for $140.00. Our staff Includes Robert W Smith, Jilla Webb, Robert Gibson, Jeff Lee, John Davidson, Noah Bellamy, Eric Ward, Austin Thompson, Amy Latimer Byrne, and Shawn Byrne. We hope to see you this June!

Troy University Softball Camps in Alabama offer an opportunity for players to receive valuable instruction on the fundamental skills of softball. Campers will be made aware of the characteristics that define successful softball players. Organized games between campers will provide a competitive outlet after specific drills have been practiced. Contests built into drills capture the learner's attention, which results in attentive practice.

Drill progressions will be aimed towards recognizing and developing good habits in all aspects of the game. General courtesy, respect for teammates and opponents and the importance of hard work will be taught to the campers through example by the Trojan coaches.

STARTALK Student Chinese Language and Chinese Language Teacher programs

June 26 - July 10, 2016

Troy University will host the STARTALK Student Chinese Language Summer Program and the Chinese Language Teacher Program June 26-July 10. The initiative seeks to expand and improve the teaching and learning of strategically important world languages that are not widely taught in the United States. Funded through a grant from the National Security Agency, the STARTALK programs will expose students and language teachers to Chinese culture and language through a variety of workshops, activities and demonstrations.

Wiregrass Math, Science, and Technology Leadership Academy

June 2 - 3 and June 6 - 8, 2016

The Wiregrass Math, Science, and Technology Leadership Academy is an Alabama Commission on Higher Education grant. Improving teacher quality is a high priority for the Academy. This is accomplished by using a variety of science, math and technology themed teacher workshops throughout the year. E-mail tconner22269@troy.edu to receive/submit the registration form. Registration is free, but advanced registration is required. Participants, without any cost, will receive 40 hours worth of CEUs and educational materials.
