Mission Statement

The mission of the College of Communication and Fine Arts is to provide excellence in instruction, enhanced by emerging technology within and beyond Troy’s institutional boundaries, where responsible, ethical, and informed critical thinking skills and applied experiences in music, theatre, dance, visual arts, journalism, communication, English, foreign language and arts’ education prepare students for meaningful careers in the 21st century.

CCFA’s dedicated faculty are committed teachers and professional artists who passionately engage in scholarship and creative activity through the design, exhibition, publication, presentation and performance of social, cultural and artistic works.

The college seeks to create a climate of caring and global enrichment through the engagement of Troy’s domestic and international faculty and students in cyber-communication, language acquisition, exchange programs, study abroad, curriculum development and cultural programming.

The college enhances academic engagement by providing a wide array of ensemble opportunities so the CCFA faculty and students, working in the spirit of creative collaboration, can provide journalistic, artistic and cultural productions, publications and performances for the citizens of Troy, Pike County, Alabama, the Southeastern United States and beyond.
