What is HSK?
HSK is the abbreviation of Chinese Pinyin: Hànyǔ Shuǐpíng Kǎoshì (汉语水平考试) is the series tests to assess the Chinese language proficiency of non-native speakers. They assess the examinees' ability to use the Chinese language in communicative activities and understanding in the environment of studying in educational institutions, enterprises and other organizations. Or to meet living and working needs. There are 3 levels are linked by progressive grades. The HSK (Basic), HSK (Elementary-Intermediate) and HSK (Advanced) are connected on the degree levels. They serve as the examination and evaluation for learners, beginners, intermediate and advanced learners of the Chinese language. They also provide the testing reference to the relating educational institutions and certain organizations.
HSK (Basic) for appropriate for beginners who have had 100-800 hours of formal education in modern Chinese, and have a basic vocabulary of 400-3,000 common Chinese characters (at the levels 1-3), and who understand the corresponding Chinese grammar structures (at the levels 1-3).
HSK (Elementary-Intermediate) appropriate for elementary and intermediate students of Chinese who have had 400-2,000 hours of formal education in modern Chinese, have a basic vocabulary of 2,000-5,000 common Chinese characters (at the levels 3-8), and who understand the corresponding Chinese grammar structures (at the levels 3-8).
HSK (Advanced) appropriate for advanced students of Chinese who have had 3000 hours of formal education in modern Chinese, have a basic vocabulary of 5,000-8,000 common Chinese characters (at the levels 9, 10 and 11), and who understand the corresponding Chinese grammar structures (at the levels 9,10 and 11).
The HSK test has become the first choice of Chinese proficiency adopted by many groups and users worldwide.

Chinese Proficiency Certificates: HSK
Successful examinees are issued a Chinese Proficiency Certificate for the examination they took. There are three levels of certificates for the beginners' HSK, namely, the levels of C, B and A.
There are six levels of certificates for the elementary and intermediate HSK, C, B and A for the elementary HSK and C, B and A for the intermediate HSK. There are also three levels of certificates for the advanced HSK, namely, the levels of C, B and A.
Within two months of the test, the HSK sponsor will send by mail the Chinese proficiency certificates and score reports to the HSK organizers. These organizers will forward the certificates and score reports to the examinees.
The Advantage of Chinese Proficiency Certificates: HSK
Chinese proficiency certificates: HSK issued by the State Committee for the Chinese Proficiency Test of China are:
1.Certificates certifying the possession of Chinese language skills when applying for a job on the international human resources market for which these skills are necessary;
2.Certificates fulfilling admission requirements when applying to different types of schools at various levels in China;
3.Certificates allowing their holders to be exempt from Chinese courses at the corresponding level at educational institutions.
4.Certificates evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and course contents for educational and training institutions.
