This session provides the pre-service teacher, in-service teacher, or interested parents with a workable knowledge of the sound-letter relationships of the English language, also known as phonics. This short course is designed to teach teachers the art of self-defense so that they can protect themselves, their students, and their school from various forms of danger. You will learn how to defend against intruders with firearms or knives, how to handle troubled students or school fights, how to handle pressure, and how to keep calm and think in a highly dangerous or threatening situation. .4 CEU (4 professional hours), Fee $38

Course is taught in two 2-hour sessions. Students must attend both sessions to receive credit. A release form is required (provided the day of class).
