Steinway Initiative

Steinway Initiative
Troy University professor Dr. Hui Ting Yang performs on a sterling Steinway piano.

Troy University and the John M. Long School of Music have launched a major fundraising initiative to become an All-Steinway School. Since 1853, Steinway & Sons pianos have set an uncompromising standard for sound, touch, beauty and investment value. To become an All-Steinway School, the pianos in an institution must be comprised of ninety percent Steinway and Steinway-designed instruments. The All-Steinway distinction is a mark of prestige held by few institutions. Troy University's decision to support the All-Steinway Initiative is an indication of its continuing commitment to academic excellence.
