Troy University's ACCELERATE Dual Enrollment Online - Am I Ready?

There are a few things to think about when considering this program, like:

  • Are you mature enough to handle the workload?
  • Are you a self-starter and responsible enough to deal with the demands of online classes, which are less structured than face-to-face classes?
  • Does your family's schedule allow enough time to devote to college-level courses?

Find out if you are ready by completing the READI (Readiness for Education at a Distance) assessment. It will take you about 35 minutes from start to finish, but you may log out and complete it later if necessary. After you login you will receive an e-mail from READI with a READI PIN number that will allow you to log back in later or view your results again.

Your READI score will not prevent you from registering for online classes. It is a tool that will help you assess your strengths and weaknesses related to distance learning in five areas:

  • Learning Styles - What is your predominant learning style?
  • Technical Competency, Skills, and Knowledge
  • Reading Rate and Recall
  • Typing Speed and Accuracy

You will receive a full color report immediately following the completion of all areas of READI. It also provides some remedial tools to help you strengthen your weaknesses.
