Proctor Form Instructions Enrollment in some distance learning courses involve proctored testing. It is your responsibility to find an acceptable proctor for these courses. Your instructor will inform you if you have a proctored exam. The following guidelines are to be used when obtaining a proctor. If you live within 60 miles of a Troy University campus, a Troy University regional site, a testing center, a library, or another accredited college or university that is willing to proctor exams for distance learners, you are required to schedule and take your exam at one of those facilities. If you live more than 60 miles from one of those facilities, one of the following officials may qualify as a proctor:
The person you submit for a proctor must have earned at least a bachelor’s degree. Troy University students may not serve as a proctor; nor can a relative, co-worker or friend. Your proctor cannot use a Yahoo!, AOL, Hotmail or any other free e-mail account as his/her contact e-mail. Please submit your proctor's business e-mail. In addition, you must contact your proctor prior to submitting his/her name to agree to administer your exam(s). The proctor must be willing to accept exams via e-mail because no exams will be sent via fax to a proctor. Only exams for Navy College Program participants will be mailed (and then only if the appropriate box is checked on the proctor form). After we have received your submission it will be reviewed for approval. You will not be notified by eCampus unless...
All exams will be sent to approved proctors during Week 5 of the term. When you arrive to take each exam (one exam per course), you should bring an envelope with adequate postage, addressed to your instructor. You can get the address on the instructor's syllabus or from the instructor directly. When you have finished the exam, your proctor should place it in the envelope you provide and put it in the mail. You should NEVER have sole possession of your exam (even to mail it) after you have taken the test. We recommend that you purchase a flat-rate priority envelope for each test instead of stamped postage. Using this more secure method results in quicker delivery time. All students must submit a new Proctor Form every term. PROCEED TO THE PROCTOR FORM |
