Contact Information for New and Continuing Borrowers including Borrower Benefits:
This Lender List is made available to both new and continuing students who wish to choose a lender and to learn more about the lenders at Troy University. First time Troy borrowers who have returned their award letters may complete an MPN, electronically (the sequence you must follow is for you to return the award letter, we certify the loan, and then you may complete the MPN) at the KHEAA Link at the bottom of the main page or click on MPN on-line. Once we certify your loan with KHEAA, they will send you a paper MPN to complete if they do not have one for you.
In School Deferment forms are processed by the
Office of the Registrar.
These lenders are chosen as preferred because of their use of the Guarantor (KHEAA) we use as a disbursing agent (our only electronic arrangement), historical relationship with the University, processing speed or service, and reduced fees. Choosing a lender from a mail or phone solicitation is often a choice to have a small gain for reduced service when you need it in repayment. A pre-approval from ANY lender or Guarantor can also delay your processing; it can result in delays and sometimes rejection at the guarantor level. It is important to begin your application process with the FAFSA and follow our procedures - use our checklist on the forms page for the appropriate year..
To process a loan from any other lender or guarantor, you must submit the paper application or Stafford Certification Form you obtain from your lender for our manual certification which will await a paper check from the lender.
The information of this page is provided by the lenders but is subject to change at any time; you are urged to check with the lender (click on their logo to go to their web page) when choosing a lender based upon borrower benefits.
Plus Loans require that we transmit detailed information about the parent: please review the
