Important Information about Freshman Forum

FFreshman Forum meets every Tuesday at 5:30 PM unless there is a Holiday. If you have class during this time, we encourage you not to apply to allow others who don't have a class during this time to be selected.

The yearly membership fee for Freshman Forum is $85.00. There may be an additional fee added to attend the retreat in the fall to help pay for activities on the retreat.

If you are selected, you MUST attend the SGA/ Freshman Forum retreat on September 19th-21st. This year we will be going to Atlanta, GA.

Application Disclaimer

Before you proceed with filling out the application, you need to know that this application will ask you to answer four questions pertaining to your leadership experience. Please take some time to think about these four questions and type them out before you get to the question page of the application. Please limit your answers to 4-5 sentences to stay within the 450 character limit.

  1. Why are you interested in becoming a member of Freshman Forum?

  2. In addition to Freshman Forum, what other ways are you interested in being involved at Troy?
    (Include organizations you have already joined. If already involved in a Greek Organization or have recently received a "bid", please do not specify that organization, simply say "Greek Member.")

  3. What do you hope to accomplish during your first year, and how will Freshman Forum help you accomplish your academic and career goals?

  4. What is the best leadership experience that you are most proud of and how would that experience help with your membership in Freshman Forum?

Application Process

Applications are due online by Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 4:00 PM. Interview Sign-Ups will start on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 8:00 AM and will end at 5:00 PM on Friday, August 26, 2016.

IMPORTANT: If you are selected for an interview, you will receive an email notification through your TROY email, so please be checking that one instead of your other emails. You will have a day and a half to sign up for an interview time.

Interviews will be held on Monday and Tuesday, August 29 & 30, 2016, location of interviews is TBA. To sign up for an interview, times will be posted in the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership/ SGA Office, Trojan Center 215. Students can sign-up when they get an interview invite email from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM in the office.

Please use your entire troy email address and Trojan Webexpress password (Example: when creating your Trojan Connection account. If you DO NOT use the, a separate account will be made for you and you will be kicked out of the system and will be required to fill the application out all over again.
