TROY Service Centers meet the needs of working adults, including military, government agency civilians, teachers and future business leaders who want the opportunities that come with earning a degree. Because adult learners often have different educational needs than traditional students, courses are provided at times and in formats designed around people who work and have other commitments for their time.

The 2015 Troy University Freshman Forum will be once again holding an award ceremony at our conference. The winner of this award will be a student leader of Alabama that has exemplified all of the attributes, and also the qualities, attitude, and servant hood of an outstanding Troy University leader. Troy University is always educating the mind to think, the heart to feel, and the body to act. Leaders are to always educate others to be thinking of ways to improve and overcome obstacles, to always show compassion and a willingness to serve, and to always have their feet on the ground working diligently at whatever is ahead of them.
These are the types of leaders that we hope you choose to nominate from and represent your school. Five students will be chosen from the group of applicants that are attending the Excellence in Leadership Conference this year, those five will be interviewed during the first day of the conference, and one winner will be chosen. The person receiving the Dr. John Kline Excellence in Leadership award will be given a book scholarship of $250 dollars, and a certificate of achievement. Part of the application process is to fill out the nomination form for the student you have chosen. The attached page is the award application and nomination form. If you would, please choose one student from your high school that you believe captures the essence of a true leader. Applications are to be submitted online by October 28, 2015.
In addition to the online form, you will be required to attach a 200 word explanation of why you think this student should receive the John Kline Excellence in Leadership Award.
Remember nomination forms are due by Thursday, October 28. Submissions are to be submitted online.
