Welcome from the President of IFC
Fellow Trojans,
On behalf of the entire Inter-Fraternity council, I would like to take this opportunity to encourage you to GO GREEK. The Inter-Fraternity Council, or IFC, is the governing body for our eight IFC recognized fraternities on campus: Alpha Tau Omega, Sigma Chi, Lambda Chi Alpha, Tau Kappa Epsilon, Delta Chi, FarmHouse, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and Pi Kappa Phi. These fraternities strive for not only social excellence but also excellence within the fields of academics, leadership, and community service/volunteerism and of course brotherhood.
TROY University fraternity men are proven leaders both on and off campus. Soaring to new heights with academic excellence, the fraternity average is historically higher than the all men’s average on campus. Giving back is a key component of any fraternity here at TROY. With over 16,000 hours of community service/volunteerism and over $45,000 raised last year, Greek Life at TROY provides you with opportunities to give back. Brotherhood is the overwhelming reason why most men join fraternities and TROY is no different. Fraternities provide you with a family away from home. Bond of brotherhood built at Troy will far exceed the walls of this institution and you will carry them with you throughout a lifetime.
The decision to GO GREEK is one of the biggest decisions you will face in college. Becoming a Troy University fraternity man will set you in an elite group of students that are well rounded and strive for excellence both in and out of the classroom. We are here to answer any questions or address any concerns that you may have. Our information is located in this book and we look forward to seeing you on campus soon. Once again, welcome to the Trojan family and we hope that you will consider to GO GREEK!
With Trojan Pride,
David Dove
2012 IFC President
