Troy University senior Kylie Morrissy was among the 15 Sun Belt Conference women’s basektball players who were rewarded for their play this season.
Morrissy, a senior from Geelong, Australia, was named First Team All-Conference for the first time in her career. This is the third such honor for Morrissy, who was named Third Team following her sophomore season and was a Third Team preseason selection this season.
“This is a terrific honor for Kylie,” TROY Head Coach Michael Murphy said. “She has worked hard while a student-athlete here at TROY with virtually every team we play designing their defense to stop her offensively. Kylie has been able to score when has been double-teamed and triple-teamed all season. This is just such a great honor for her and is terrific for the program.”
The senior guard averaged 17 points per game, leading her team in that category and is third in the conference. She scored in double figures in 25 of 28 regular season games.
Not only has Morrissy produced this season, but she has also produced throughout her career. She has recorded 1,499 points, which is seventh on the all-time list at TROY. She has grabbed over 560 rebounds, dished out over 250 assists and recorded over 100 steals.
