
Dr. Lee Vardaman, Jr., has been named associate provost for academic support at Troy University, according to Dr. Ed Roach, executive vice chancellor and provost.
Responsibilities of this position include coordination and administration of academic technology initiatives and projects, academic legal issues, personnel issues, budget preparation and management of faculty records and contracts.
Dr. Vardaman previously served as senior director of human resources for Troy University. He joined the University’s professional staff in 2000 as director of human resources. Prior to joining the TROY staff, Vardaman was the human resources manager and information technology manager for the Southeast Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission.
Dr. Vardaman received baccalaureate and master’s degrees from the University of Alabama and his doctorate in education leadership, policy and law from Alabama State University.
