Special day for Trojan fan – Adam Hay, right, and his father, Gary, pose on the floor of the Louisiana Superdome prior to the Trojan’s victory over Ohio University in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. Adam, who was born with cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair, is a huge college football and Troy Trojans fan. The New Orleans Bowl marked the first time for Adam, 29, to see the game from field level. Adam’s “front-row” seat was made possible by his friends, TROY Director of Athletics Steve Dennis and Head Football Coach Larry Blakeney.
New addition – TROY alumni Anna (2006) and Doug Gooden (2003), welcomed a new member to their family on Oct. 4. Eli Gooden was eight pounds two ounces and 19 1/2 inches at birth and was quick to display his Trojan spirit.
Cunninghams show off Trojan Spirit – Mike Cunningham (2000) and his wife, Amy, welcomed a new addition, Troy Michael, to the family on Dec. 9. The family donned the TROY colors for a family photo. Even the family dog, Bear, is wearing a TROY shirt. Bear was named after former Trojan defensive standout Bear Woods.
