concert set for April 30 at Troy State University |

fans can enjoy a variety of their favorite tunes when the Troy
State University Jazz Band and Jazz Ensemble give a special concert
on Tuesday, April 30. The concert is set for 7:30 p.m. in the Claudia Crosby Theater on the TSU campus. Admission is free and open to the public. Some 35 performers will take the stage for the concert, said Shane Porter, director of the TSU Jazz Band and Jazz Ensemble. The program will highlight a range of jazz favorites, Porter said, including the music of jazz legends Count Basie, Thad Jones and Sammy Nestico.
