Chancellor’s
Research Symposium set for April 9 at TSU
|
Student
research will be featured at Troy State University’s annual
College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Chancellor’s Research
Symposium, set for Tuesday, April 9.
The symposium is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. in the Adams
University Center Theatre for the Performing Arts. Refreshments will be served
prior to the event. Faculty, staff and students are invited to attend.
The CAS Chancellor’s Research Symposium highlights student-led
research projects and also features the presentation of three major scholarships
for the upcoming academic year, said Dr. Allen Jones of the CAS Chancellor’s
Fellowship Committee.
Recipients of the 2002-03 Chancellor’s Fellowship and
Trojan Pride Scholarship will be announced at the symposium, Jones said. Recipients
will work with a faculty sponsor on a research project during the upcoming academic
year.
Also at the symposium, the 2001-02 CAS Chancellor’s
Research Symposium scholarship winners – students Joseph Blythe, Kiana
Bradley and Kimberly Norman – will present research they have conducted
over the past year.
