TSU's African-American Alliance plans events to celebrate Black History Month
     In celebration of Black History Month, Troy State University's African-American Alliance has planned several programs throughout the month of February.
  • Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 6 p.m.: AIDS awareness program held in the Adams Center Theater. Jeronda Bouie from the Montgomery AIDS Outreach will be the guest speaker. Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 10 a.m.: Dr. Ethel Hall, president of the Alabama Board of Education, will serve as keynote speaker at the annual Black History Month program, scheduled for the Adams Center University ballrooms. Wednesday, Feb. 20: "Night of Color" on the TSU campus. "The theme will be 'African-American women down through the centuries,'" Stephanie Dawson, African-American Alliance president, said.
  • Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 3 p.m.: Father Manuel Williams of the Resurrection Catholic Church of Montgomery will discuss the role of African-Americans in the Bible. He will speak in TSU's Sorrell Chapel.
