| TSU vocal group wins regional competition |

State University’s contemporary a cappella group, "Glasshouse," was
the winner of the Southeastern Harmony Sweepstakes in Atlanta
last weekend. Win the win in Atlanta, Glasshouse advances to Mid-Atlantic Regional competition scheduled for March 2 in Washington, D.C. The Harmony Sweepstakes Competition, now in its 18th year, consists of regional contests across the nation, leading to the national finals in San Francisco. Competing groups perform for 10 minutes for a panel of celebrity judges. In Atlanta, the TSU group received a Judge’s Award for best original composition. Members of Glasshouse are Randy Boone of Phenix City; Tommy Newman of Snellville, Ga.; Rob McFarland of Wilmington, Del.; Calvin Scott of Hawkinsville, Ga.; Jeremy Thomas of Enterprise and Courtney West of Daphne. John Jinright, Instructor in the John M. Long School of Music, is the group’s adviser |
