   “Heart and Soul: Great Love Songs of the Fifties” is set for 7:30 p.m. in the Claudia Crosby Theater, located on University Avenue on the TSU campus. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students and are available at Troy-area banks, Troy Radio Shack and TSU’s John M. Long School of Music. Call (334) 670-3322 for ticket information.
   Sponsored by the Troy Council on the Arts and Humanities and by the TSU Lyceum Committee, the concert is part of the season series of the Troy Council on the Arts and Humanities.
   The concert will feature a number of popular ballads and romantic hits from the 1950s, including “My Foolish Heart,” “Moonglow,” “A Love Affair” and “West Side Story.” It will also highlight the hits of some of the decade’s top performers, including Perry Como, Doris Day and Nat “King” Cole.

  • The Hollywood Hills Orchestra, a 16-piece orchestral ensemble that has performed some 200 concerts since it was founded by Frampton in 1995 to recreate the best music in cinema;
  • Cecil Welch, a co-founder of the Hollywood Hills Orchestra, renowned trumpet player and longtime performer with Henry Mancini and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra;
  • The Starlite Singers, an Atlanta-based vocal ensemble of leading studio singers; and
