Miss TSU pageant set for Feb. 23
   Thirteen women will compete for the title of Miss Troy State Unversity at the 31st annual Miss TSU Pageant on Saturday, Feb. 23 in the Claudia Crosby Theater on the TSU campus.
   Contestants will compete for a one-year, full-tuition scholarship and numerous other prizes donated by area merchants. The winner will serve as an ambassador for the university and will compete for the title of Miss Alabama in June.
   For the first time, the Miss TSU pageant will be a one-day event, Richelle Jeffcoat, pageant director said. The pageant will begin at 7 p.m. with the swimsuit competition, which will be followed by the talent and evening gown competitions, Jeffcoat said.
   The theme will be "Only in Our Dreams," Brenda McDuffie, committee member, said.
   Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Adams Center Box Office or at the door, are $7 for adults and $5 for students and children.
