Patrick’s Parade entries sought |

are being sought for the second St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
Parade, scheduled for Saturday, March 16 beginning at 11 a.m. The parade is the highlight of the St. Patrick’s Celebration Week, sponsored by Troy State University. The City of Troy and the Pike County Chamber of Commerce are co-sponsors. "We are inviting student groups, local businesses and organizations and supporters of TSU to put an entry in the parade," said Buddy Starling, Dean of Enrollment Management, who is chairing the parade committee. Starling said the deadline for parade entries is March 1. Call 670-3175 for more information about the parade. The celebration week features lectures about Ireland, Irish-themed games and activities for TSU students, faculty and staff, and several special events, such as the annual SGA Talent Show, the T-Day spring football intra-squad game and a "Salute to Ireland" concert by the TSU Symphony Band. |
