Small business training series offered in Eufaula by TSU
Area residents who want to start their own businesses—or achieve the next level of business success—will have the opportunity to receive specialized training through a program that will begin Monday, March 4.
The program—NxLeveL Business Start-Up Training— is sponsored by the Troy State University Small Business Development Center (TSU-SBDC), Eufaula-Barbour County Chamber of Commerce, Alabama Power Company, Eufaula Bankers’ Association and Wallace Community College – Sparks Campus.
The TSU-SBDC will provide this training Mondays from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Wallace Community College – Sparks Campus in Eufaula.
Through a grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration Defense Economic Transition Assistance Program, the program is available at a reduced cost of $100 per participant (normally a $500 fee). The $100 fee includes the cost of the textbook, workbook and resources guide. Training is provided in 10 weekly sessions.
NxLeveL is designed to enhance entrepreneurial skills and assist in creating a comprehensive business plan. NxLeveL is offered throughout the state by various Small Business Development Centers in conjunction with the Alabama SBDC in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration Defense Economic Transition Assistance Program.
NxLeveL Business Start-Up Training is designed to teach the skills needed to create, develop, and strengthen successful business ventures. NxLeveL addresses the special needs of entrepreneurs by providing a practical, hands-on and common-sense approach to developing their business.
The NxLeveL Business Start-Up Training Program was developed by the Western Entrepreneurial Network at the University of Colorado at Denver under a grant from the US WEST Foundation. The training materials and curriculum are based on the feedback from more than 4,000 entrepreneurs in 12 states who have taken entrepreneurial training courses over the past two years.
Seating is limited and reserved for the first 25 paid attendees. Deadline for registering is Feb. 27. Contact the TSU-SBDC at (334) 670-3771 for additional information.
