Miss TSU Pageant scheduled for Nov. 16
Twenty students will compete for the title of Miss Troy State University Nov. 16, with the winner advancing to the Miss Alabama Pageant in June.
The 32nd annual Miss TSU Pageant will be held at the Claudia Crosby Theater beginning at 7 p.m. Contestants will compete in talent, interview, swimsuit and evening wear categories.
General admission tickets are $7 and tickets for students are $5 each. Advance tickets will be sold through the University Box Office (334-670-3293) the week before the pageant, and tickets will be available at the door.
This year brings a major change to the pageant, according to Director Richelle Jefcoat.
"Traditionally, we have held the pageant in January or February, but we decided that did not give our winner enough time to prepare for the Miss Alabama Pageant," Jefcoat said.
