   TSU names homecoming court
   Five students have been named to the Troy State University homecoming court for 2002, according to the Student Government Association.
   The homecoming queen was chosen on Oct. 16 from among the five finalists. The SGA will announce the homecoming queen selection on Monday, Oct. 21. The five members of the court were chosen from among 33 students in a vote of the students on Oct. 9.
   Chancellor Jack Hawkins, Jr. and Joy Graham of Troy, homecoming queen for 2001, will crown this year’s homecoming queen at pre-game ceremonies set for 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 in Troy. The football game with Florida Atlantic University is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
   The five finalists are:
  • Courtney Dennis of Birmingham, who is sponsored by her sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta. She was a member of the TSU soccer team for three seasons and is active in Campus Outreach.
  • Ashley Fowler of Oneonta, who is sponsored by her sorority, Kappa Delta. She is a Trojan Ambassador and Vice President for Legislative Affairs for the Student Government Association. She is a member of Gamma Beta Phi and Alpha Lambda Delta honor societies.
  • Chanukah Gray of Montgomery, who is sponsored by the SAVE Project. She is a Trojan Ambassador and served as a leader for IMPACT, TSU’s pre-college orientation program She is also a Leadership Scholar and a member of the TSU Gospel Choir.
  • Hollie Kemp of Pelham, who is sponsored by her sorority, Chi Omega. She is captain of the TSU Dance Team, a Trojan All-Star Football Hostess, a member of the Freshman Forum leadership society, Campus Outreach Ministry, the TSU Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and the TSU Advertising Public Relations Society.
  • Lynsey Williamson of Montgomery, who is an at-large member of the court. She is a member of the women’s golf team, a member of Chi Omega social sorority, Vice President of the Panhellenic Council and a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta and Gamma Beta Phi honor societies.
