Riley to speak at Troy State University Governor Bob Riley will be the keynote speaker at a “Tax Reform and Accountability Rally” scheduled for Tuesday, August 26 at Trojan Arena on the Troy State University campus. The rally will begin at 10 a.m. The public is invited to attend the rally to learn more about Governor Riley’s plan, which is scheduled to go before the voters in a referendum on September 9. In addition to Governor Riley’s address, the rally will include comments from Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr., Chancellor of Troy State University; Jimmy Lunsford, Mayor of Troy; Larry Blakeney, TSU’s Head Football Coach; and Gordon Stone, Executive Director of the Higher Education Partnership. The rally will also include music from the TSU “Sound of the South” Marching Band and area high school bands. There will also be refreshments served after the rally. |
