The Hall School of Journalism at Troy State University
recently took home 28 state-wide awards at the Public Relations Council
of Alabama conference held at Auburn University.
The TSU public relations class client, the Alabama Higher Education Partnership,
received a first-place Medallion Award for a total external public relations
program. The Alabama Higher Education Partnership public relations campaign
was the class project of the public relations students at TSU, taught
by Donna Clark Schubert, assistant professor of journalism and public
relations.
In each of the four years of competition at this level, TSU
students have received the first-place award in state competition for the client
project.
The PRCA is Alabama's largest organization of public relations
practitioners and communicators. It is the state's longest operating and largest
group of public relations practitioners.
“This is a very competitive award program, and students'
work must be exceptional in order to win,” Schubert said. “I am proud
that the PRCA has recognized this wonderful work.”
