TSU hosts the 5K/10K Road Race March 15

The ninth annual Nick Costes - Troy Banks & Merchants 5K/10K Road Race is scheduled for Saturday, March 15.

The race begins at 8:30 a.m. on University Avenue in front of the Shackleford quad on the Troy State University Campus. The 10K course is two times around the 5K course. Runners may decide which race they wish to compete in after the start. All turns will be clearly marked and the course closely monitored. Water stations will be set up along the course.

The registration fee is $15 for both pre-registration and on site registration. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged to make the day of the race a smooth process. T-shirts are guaranteed to those who pre-register. On site registration begins at 7:30 a.m.

Proceeds from this race will benefit the Major’s Club in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion at Troy State University.

Medals will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers in both the 5K and 10K runs. Ribbons will be given to the first- and second- place finishers for age division. The age divisions for both males and females are:
   · 18 and under
   · 19-29
   · 30-39
   · 40-49
   · 50 and over
