Two TSU students to present recital April 12

Troy State University students from Kingston, Tenn., and from Hazlehurst, Ga., will present a recital on oboe and bassoon on Saturday, April 12.

Ashlie Keylon, a senior music education major, and Rodney Linebarger, a senior music education major, will be performing in Sorrell Chapel at 4 p.m.

Keylon has been in the symphony band for four years, TSU Chamber Winds, oboist in TSU’s Mozart “Requiem” and “Carmina Burana.” She is a member of the honor societies Gamma Beta Phi, Phi Kappa Phi, Kappa Delta Pi and Mortar Board. She is an All-American Scholar as well.

Linebarger has been a member of the symphony band and TSU chamber winds for the past four years, bassoonist in TSU’s Mozart “Requiem,” and member of the pit orchestras in TSU musical theater’s productions of “A Chorus Line” and “Hello Dolly!.” Both Keylon and Linebarger were selected last year to perform in the Southeast Intercollegiate Honor Band.
