lecture series on Korea continues Nov. 14 |
Troy State University will continue its' presentation
on Korean culture in conjunction with the Global Access Project
by having Jill Whitfield of Seoul Restaurant in Montgomery speak
on the topic of Korean cuisine.
The lecture will be in room 124 of the Math and Science complex
at 3 p.m on Nov. 14. There is no charge for the lecture, which is open to the
public.
The “Global Access Project” was created by the
U.S. Department of State in order to increase knowledge of American foreign policy
and international issues as well as to encourage careers in civil and foreign
services at the U.S. Department of State.
TSU was one of 11 universities nationwide chosen to participate
in the project. This lecture is the fifth of a series of five events.
“This lecture is one piece of the puzzle, which will
inform the community and give them a better understanding of Korean culture,” said
Richard Nokes, director of Upper Division Literature at TSU.
