   Miss TSU Pageant scheduled for Nov. 21
   Fourteen students will compete for the title of Miss Troy State University Friday, Nov. 21, with the winner advancing to the Miss Alabama Pageant in June.
    The 33rd annual Miss TSU Pageant will be held at the Claudia Crosby Theater beginning at 7 p.m. Contestants will compete in talent, interview, swimsuit and evening wear categories.
   The theme of the pageant this year will be “In the Lights of Broadway.” Catherine Crosby, Miss Alabama for 2003, will serve as emcee.
   General admission tickets are $7 and tickets for students are $5 each. Children 12 and under will also pay $5. Advance tickets will be sold through the University Box Office (334-670-3293) the week of the pageant, and tickets will be available at the door. The doors will open at 6 p.m.
   The Miss TSU Pageant is an official preliminary to the Miss Alabama Pageant in June which is a preliminary to the Miss America Pageant to be held in Atlantic City, N.J.
    This year’s contestants are:
  • Ashley Brown, 18, from Luverne, sponsored by TSU Student Government Association;
    Kristen Duffy, 19, from Robertsdale, sponsored by Tau Beta Sigma Honorary Band Sorority;
    Amanda Dyess, 20, from Leeds, sponsored by Beta Beta Beta;
    Chanukah Gray, 20, from Montgomery, sponsored by Toray Hicks;
    Tamara Greenwood, 22, from Dothan, sponsored by African-America Alliance;
    Avington Hart, 19, from Evergreen, sponsored by Alpha Delta Pi Sorority;
    Mary Ann Henderson, 20, from Troy, sponsored by Sigma Alpha Epsilon;
    Sharrell Lockett, 20, from Sweetwater, sponsored by the “Sound of the South” Marching Band;
    Laura McDonald, 18, from Prattville, sponsored by Phi Mu Sorority;
    Marshall Moore, 22, from Banks, sponsored by TSU-TV;
    Jennifer Payne, 20, from Elberta, sponsored by Sigma Alpha Iota;
    Miranda Shipp, 21, from Blountsville, sponsored by family and friends;
    Lucy Skellett, 19, from Springville, sponsored by Alpha Delta Pi; and
