| Dr. Zingara's trumpet recital set for Nov. 19 |
| Dr.
James Zingara, Assistant Professor in the John M. Long School of Music
at Troy State University, will present a trumpet recital, featuring
the Alabama premiere of a composition by Robert Bradshaw, on Wednesday,
Nov. 19. The performance will be in the Claudia Crosby Theater at 1 p.m. Admission is free, and the event is open to the public. Dr. Zingara was asked to perform Bradshaw's composition, “Sonata for Trumpet,” which will be premiering in all 50 states during the months of November and December. The recital also will include works by David Sampson, Gorges Enesco, Eugene Bozza and George Frederich Handel. Dr. John Jinright, Instructor in the John M. Long School of Music, will accompany Dr. Zingara on the piano. |
